VENDOVI ISLAND SATURDAY, APRIL 2ND
- Start will be between the Georgia Pacific outfall buoy and a committee boat. If a committee boat is unavailable, a Rabbit Start system will be used.
- Short course times must be recorded on the outbound leg as you pass the green day marker at the South end of Eliza Island. Take your time when your bow crosses a line perpendicular to the Day marker at 90 Degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees).
- Vendovi Island is to be rounded so that the island is to your Starboard side.
- Eliza Island is not a mark of the course on the return leg.
- Finish between the Post Point buoy and the shore. Take your finish time when your bow passes a line perpendicular to the buoy at 90 degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees)
- The time limit to finish is 1800 hours.
AROUND LUMMI SATURDAY, MAY 14TH
- Start will be between the Georgia Pacific outfall buoy and a committee boat. If a committee boat is unavailable, a Rabbit Start system will be used.
- The route around the island is “Skippers Choice”.
- Take your half way time at the Village Point Day Marker. Take your time as your bow crosses a perpendicular line to the day marker at 90 or 270 degrees magnetic depending on which route was chosen .
- The finish is at Inati Bay. Take your time as the bow of your boat crosses a line perpendicular to the Rock Marker at the entrance to the bay at 90 degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees)
- The time limit to finish is 1900 hours.
POINT ROBERTS SATURDAY, SUNDAY, JUNE 25th, 26th
Note: Skippers meeting will be held at 0800, Saturday, June 25th
- Start will be between the Georgia Pacific Outfall Buoy and a committee boat. If a committee boat is unavailable, a Rabbit Start system will be used.
- Viti Rocks is a mark of the course and must be left to Starboard on the outbound leg and to Port on the return leg.
- Take your half way time at the Point Roberts Buoy when your bow crosses a perpendicular line from the buoy at 360 degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 180 degrees)
- The finish is between the Post Point buoy and the Shore. Take your time when the bow of your boat crosses a perpendicular line from the buoy at 90 degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees)
- The time limit to finish is Sunday, June 26th at 1800 hours.
GOVERNORS POINT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th
- Start will be between the Georgia Pacific Outfall Buoy and a committee boat. If a committee boat is unavailable, a Rabbit Start system will be used.
- Boats will proceed to the Red/Green channel buoy between Eliza Island and Point Francis and leave it to Port.
- Short Course decision will be made prior to arrival at the buoy and announced on VHF channel 69.
- Short course will proceed to Chuckanut Bay and leave the Island to Port (see chart).
- Long Course will proceed to the channel between Eliza Island and Lummi Island leaving Eliza Island to Port. Boats will then proceed to Chuckanut Bay and go around the island as described in 4.3 (above).
- Finish will be between the Post Point Buoy and the shore. Take your finish time when your bow crosses a line perpendicular to the buoy at 90 degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees)
- The time limit to finish is 1800 hours.
JACK ISLAND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1st
- Start will be between the Georgia Pacific Outfall Buoy and a committee boat. If a committee boat is unavailable, a Rabbit Start system will be used.
- A Short Course decision may be made after the start and will be announced on VHF channel 69. If this announcement is made, yachts shall turn back toward the finish at the Green Day Marker on the South End of Eliza Rock. Boats must be sure to completely cross a line perpendicular to this mark at 90 degrees magnetic prior to turning. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees)
- Yachts shall also take their half way times if the race is determined to go the full course. The half way mark is the Red Day Marker on the Southeast end of Vendovi Island. Take your time when the bow of your yacht crosses a line perpendicular to this mark at 90 degrees magnetic. (Compass reading would be 270 degrees)
- Round Jack Island leaving the island to Port and continue to the finish.
- Eliza Island is not a mark of the course on the return leg toward the finish.
- The time limit to finish is 1800 hours.
