NOTICE OF RACE

The Regatta will be sailed on the waters of Bellingham Bay and will be governed by I.S.A.F. racing Rules of Sailing 2005 - 2008, including the US Sailing Prescriptions, the rules of the one-design classes entered, and the Sailing Instructions. The Races will be held on September 10 and 11 2005, with warning signals scheduled for 1100 hrs on the 10th and 10.30 hours on the 11th. All competitors in Youth classes shall be no older than 22 years of age, and all Optimist competitors shall be no older than 15 years of age during the calendar year 2005. The Laser/laser radial Class is open. The racing area is Bellingham Bay.

All  One - Design  fleets  are  Welcome.  

Starts will be given and trophies awarded to classes with five or more entries. There will be novice classes in the Byte and Optimist. Keelboats and other dinghies will race on separate courses.   Up to three courses will be established to accommodate the different classes.

RACE FEES
Single - Handed: USD/CAD $30, Double  Handed: USD/CAD $45, Three or More: USD/CAD $60. There will be a $5 discount on registrations on and before September 3rd. Online registration is the preferable method. Race fees include:
  Moorage for Friday and Saturday,  boat launch facilities, trophies for top 3 finishers in each class, LUNCHES FOR ALL RACERS, Awards Pizza Party

NOTICES
All notices to competitors will be posted on the Regatta Notice Board in the lower floor of the Bellingham Yacht Club.  Courses will be sailed mostly windward/leeward, and possible triangular, around the buoys racing.

PRIZES
Awards will be given to the first three places in each class.
