Dock Policies and Rate Structure

ALL BOATS MUST FLY THEIR CLUB BURGEE WHILE AT THE BYC DOCK

Reciprocal Moorage

• Visiting Yacht Clubs will have current reciprocity with Bellingham Yacht Club. (Reciprocity Book is in the Business Office.)
• Electricity fee is separate and is charged per day. (Rate $3.00/day)
• Reciprocal (non-group) members will have 1st night free of moorage rate. Additional days moorage will be at the prevailing Port rate. A maximum of 3 days per month are permitted unless other arrangements have been made.

Group Reservations

• For "large" reciprocal groups, the group fee shall be $125.00 per night for a maximum 3 day stay. For non-reciprocal groups the fee shall be $200.00 for a maximum 3 day stay.
• The electricity charge of $3.00 per day will apply for each individual boat
• The member sublessee who is displaced during the group moorage shall receive the $3.00 fee charged for electricity.

Subleases by Bellingham Yacht Club Members

• When there is a waiting list for the BYC Dock, the following applies:
  1. The member does not have permanent moorage in Squalicum Harbor
  2. The member understands that this is not permanent moorage
  3. When the 90-day or sooner occupancy is up, the member will re-negotiate the terms of their stay
  4. A Sub-lessee can not be "bumped" by a member of greater seniority.
• Priority for sublease shall be by date of BYC membership
• 140 feet of dock space will be available for sublease.
• No portion of the dock shall be reserved as a loading zone or for Race Committee boats unless prior arrangements have been made.
• A member sublessee agrees to vacate the dock during the following BYC events: Opening Day; PITCH, One-Design Regatta, Lighted Boat Parade week and when there is a large reciprocal group that has made prior reservations. If necessary, the BYC agrees to find other moorage for said member sublessee that is temporarily moved.
• Cost of moorage is $5.00/foot LOA, plus electricity, or as set by the Board of Trustees of the Bellingham Yacht Club.

Dinghies

• Only BYC members may moor their dinghies on the INSIDE of the BYC Dock at a rate of $1.00 per foot per month. This does not apply to the boats of the Junior Sailors stored in the dinghy rack.
