Governor’s Point PHRF Combined Results

Governor’s Point Race – PHRF Division Results

Well, we were suppose to depart Ko Chang yesterday morning and head across the Gulf of Thailand to Ko Samui, but right as we got the anchor up they hydrolic engine went out. The skipper and first mate were down in the engine room all day yesterday trying to figure out what’s going on, but they still have not been able to solve the problem. Today a mechanic from the boat yard where the boat was built is coming to see if he can fix it. I guess it’s lucky this happened while we were still in Ko Chang, rather than trying to cross the gulf. We went hiking today up to a waterfall and went swimming. Hopefully we’ll be departing Ko Chang tomorrow morning. I’ll write again as soon as we get across.

Hey everyone! I’m here on the island of Ko Chang. We started our voyage in Ko Sichang, moved onto Ko Samet, then to a little island called Ko Wai and now were are hanging out in Ko Chang. The weather is hot and beautiful! Today we got to ride elephants. I was told you can’t come to Thailand and not ride an elephant. Right now I’m working on my Open Water diving certification. So far we’ve had 3 dives, but the visibility hasn’t been great so we’ve just been trying to keep out instructor in view. We haven’t done much sailing because of the lack of wind, but tomorrow we are heading offshore and crossing the gulf of Thailand. So hopefully we’ll see some more wind. I miss everyone so much and would love to hear from you! E’mail me at ashleymaehamilton2004@yahoo.com.

Ashley is on board and learning some diving skills as well as beginning her voyage. She will be working the sea for the next 3 months, and a be passing a semester of school. Here is the link

Congratulations to all of our new board members. The Elections night was well attended, with many of the candidates in attendance. 66 Votes were received (Absentee & Wed Night Vote). There were many qualified individuals running for office, a great indicator of the health of the club! To everyone that voted, THANK YOU, you’ve contributed to the club by supporting our membership.
