On March 28th, 6:30-9:30, the BYC will be hosting Dick Rose, Sailing Worlds Rules Expert, see his articles here. This should be an informative seminar for anyone involved in racing, whether your the skipper or the crew you’ll know more about whats going on at the start, the marks and during the race then ever before. The event is open to ANYONE.

Chris Fairbanks will be giving a presentation about marine biology. Chris is chair of the Waterfront Advisory Group that ensures public involvement in planning the redevelopment of Bellingham’s waterfront. He is also a member of the Whatcom County Marine Resource Committee. His presentation will be a quick course of Marine Ecology 101; what does ice cream have to do with it? We will learn about the marine food webs and why killer whales have to work harder to find a good meal.

The Bellingham Yacht Club welcomes you to our Open House set for Wednesday January 17th, from 5:30 to 7:30.
